Tara Oliver - Lead Vocals
Tara Oliver began her professional singing career in Honolulu Hawaii at the age of 19 when she began singing in piano bars in and around Honolulu and then became the lead singer for the popular band Nueva Vida, a convention/high profile event band, which is still performing under the same name and band leadership led by Robert Shinoda, renowned jazz/pop musician. She went on to become the lead singer in the band, Soul-Sync, while living in Sydney Australia and was chosen by Don Ho’s Musical Director/pianist to perform class standard ballads with him at the grand opening of the prestigious Hotel Nikko Sekitei in Tokyo, Japan. She also sang with the Hawaii-based Band East to West as part of a USO tour in the Kwajalein atoll. Tara got to share the stage with the former Philipine’s president, Ferdinand Marcos’ favorite singer, Imelda Papin as part of her Hawaiian island tour.
She is also a songwriter and co-wrote one of the songs on the chart-topping Charlemagne album released by Ionian records in 2009. She and her husband enjoy songwriting and performing together as a duo as well. Tara was the lead singer with the tropical themed band, ‘The Tenneseagulls’ (formed by Nashville based musicians Kenny Loveland and Bill Ellis) before joining 2nd Sunset as lead singer. Tara learned to play the ukulele in elementary school in Hawaii and still plays today. When Tara is not singing with the 2nd Sunset band, she enjoys spending time with her family, riding horses and traveling. Tara is especially excited to be a part of the 2nd Sunset Project as she has seen the joy people have hearing their favorite hit songs from all the decades! Tara is thrilled about the future of this band as the combined talent is off the charts - and the sky is the limit!

Scott Oliver - Guitars & Vocals
From orchestra pits to rock-fueled stages on the Sunset Strip, Scott Oliver's journey with the guitar has been anything but ordinary. Starting as a classically trained upright bassist who first picked up a guitar at nine, Scott’s musical roots run deep and wide—spanning rock, pop, jazz, classical and country.
After cutting his teeth in high school orchestras, jazz bands, and late-night gigs around town, Scott moved to Hollywood, CA to attend the legendary Musicians Institute (GIT), graduating in 1987. He soon co-founded Charlemagne, a band that would go on to sign with Eonian Records and light up stages at iconic L.A. venues like The Roxy, The Whisky A Go Go, The Troubadour, and more. Their debut album has gone on to receive rave reviews and is now being played worldwide.
A versatile and in-demand player, Scott also lent his skills as a guitarist in churches across Southern California, including Saddleback Church and The Dream Center in Hollywood. In 2006, he brought his talent and technical savvy to Nashville, launching a successful second act in the world of pro audio. Elijah David Love (Jah) - Bass & Vocals
From the earliest days behind a drum kit in Framingham, Massachusetts, Elijah has lived and breathed music. Beginning his journey at age 10, he played his first gig just a year later, setting the stage for a lifetime of performance. His teenage years in Madison, New York, saw him drumming with "Magnum," igniting local festivals, high school dances, and bars with electrifying energy.
At age 15, a newfound passion for the electric guitar emerged when practice limitations forced him to explore new musical possibilities. By 16, he was studying and mastering the instrument, soon gracing stages with fellow high school musicians. His college years at SUNY Morrisville introduced him to analog and digital electronics, a field that would shape his professional career alongside his music.
Throughout his twenties, Elijah played guitar with bands such as Vagabond, Steve Holly Band, and Toys in the Attic (an Aerosmith tribute). His thirst for new opportunities led him to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he built a career in audio-visual technology, working at the prestigious Bellagio Hotel and Casino in the Convention Technical AV department as an AMX programmer. Later, at Ford AV, he refined his expertise, tackling everything from engineering and design to installation and service.
Through these years, he remained deeply embedded in music, playing guitar for The Luina Champoux Band and eventually shifting to bass with Capo Regime. When work slowed after the lockdowns, he embraced an early retirement and moved to Hendersonville, Tennessee—a long-held dream for both he and his wife to return closer to the East Coast.
Now, surrounded by the inspiration of Tennessee’s rich musical landscape, he continues to write and record original music in his private home studio and is an active member of 2nd Sunset where it was discovered that he and Scott simultaneously attended Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA. With decades of experience, passion, and dedication, Elijah remains a force in the world of music, always seeking new creative frontiers.
